Build A Niche Store - Examples and Review
January 22nd, 2008
I have written about this before and you may have already read about the program Build A Niche Store, but here I want to show some examples of what you can accomplish with this program.
Not being one to dabble much in programing, it was not too hard to figure out how to manipulate the colors and directory structure of an already made template that comes with the program. The hardest part for a new user maybe working with your hosting company to get the script online and a mysql database set up. Once you get past that point most anyone could run the store from there.
If you are interested in getting into online marketing and want to start out easy, at least check out Build A Niche Store. It maybe the easiest way to get started with your own money making website using the already household name of eBay. You wont have to do any selling or worry about taking in or processing any transaction. All of that is done for you by eBay and Commission Junction.
You main goal is to get people to your site and then let them click through to the items they want to purchase from ebay and you get a commission off of each item they buy.
If you have any questions on the setup or maintenance of a BANS site let me know and I may be able to help.
Also if you currently are a Build A Niche Store owner I have a great deal going on at my Million Pixel Site Pages. While the space is available you can upload a header graphic and point a link back to you BANS site. If you are interested then just leave a comment here and I will email you the link.

I’ve tinkered around with BANS for about a month now. I’ve made about $20.00 on 6 sites. I think this software is great, however good SEO is needed to generate any kind of traffic, which is the key to any website.
Just my two cents.

Hi Lee,
Thanks for the note. I totaly agree about the SEO. Without sticking with it the sites eventually fall out of the rankings, but I guess thats true with any site. I have had pretty good luck with BANS and have about 8 sites now.
Backlinks are always a major task to get for a BANS site so I set up a free directory to list them. If you have a BANS site and you want to get a little more exposure and some links check out my directory here.. http://backlinks.mediazene.com
For the next few weeks I will be upgrading all new links to “Featured” for free and their is a category just for Build A Niche Store owners. Just submit your info and select the free option and I will upgrade your listing before it goes live.
