Are Internet Scams Flooding Your Email?

August 7th, 2008

Does your email get flooded with offers from people telling you that you have millions waiting for you to pick up?

All they need is for you to send them your name, address, phone number etc… Have you ever heard of identity theft? I got so fed up with sifting through my email I decided to post a few of the remakable offers online for everyone to see.

Just in the first day of posting im up to almost $63,000,000 just waiting for me to claim. Now dont get me wrong, they arent ALL from nigeria, but most are. There has to be a way of stopping the influx of crap that I get each day but I have yet to figure it out.

I do use email and I dont want to have to change my email address as fast I change my underwear. Hell I can barely remember the one I have now much less a new one each week to try to stay ahead of the scammers.

For a good laugh take a look at the new category of “Internet Scams” posts I started on another blog. “Internet Scams”

  • I get these emails too, one time I got an email from “Paypal” claiming that some of my information was lost and to re-enter it, I went to the url and it was a Paypal copycat site looking to get my legitimate Paypal Login information. There has to be a way of stopping this garbage.

  • Hi Jeff,

I get those emails too! For now I think the best way to slow down this type of scam is to expose it and the risks that are involved. I have posted dozens of these scams and rip offs at Top Dollar Website in the hopes that people will read about these scams BEFORE they fall for the offers and become victims of identity theft.

    Thanks for your comment Jeff
